The project was known as Codename Crime-Vice Open World before the Gangstar Mirage City release branding. It is the newest released Gangstar title, following Gangstar New Orleans in the series timeline.

When is the worldwide release?
No worldwide release date has been announced. August 20, 2026 marks the regional mobile launch, while access in other markets remains tied to each storefront region.
Is a PC version planned?
Yes. In the September 23 Rooklyn Improvement Bureau developer Q&A, the team said it is actively planning a dedicated PC release with cross-platform account sharing. The announcement does not name a release date, PC store, minimum requirements, controller support, or whether mobile and PC players will share the same live sessions.
