How to get Grappler
The captured inventory card says “Upgrade Agares Firearms Academy.” It does not show a level or Cash price. Open the Academy panel on the current account, read the requirement there, then return to Inventory to confirm that Grappler is available.
- Open the current property, business, or academy screen named on the weapon card.
- Read the displayed acquisition requirement before spending currency or materials.
- After it becomes available, open Inventory → Weapons and place it in one of the three carried slots.
How Grappler stats affect combat
Grappler is most useful for high-impact launcher use from a planned position rather than mobile close-range fights. Read the full weapon-details card after equipping it, because attachments and upgrade state can change the displayed values.

Best situations for Grappler
- Use the High Impact and Range Damage traits for a deliberate firing lane, not a rushed corner fight.
- Plan a retreat route before firing because the card also lists Low Mobility.
- Keep the muzzle clear of nearby walls, vehicles, and teammates.
- Switch to a faster weapon as enemies close the gap.
Ammunition and loadout partners
Grappler uses Rocket. Buy enough before a mission and avoid filling all three slots with weapons that solve the same distance.
| Loadout slot | Choice |
|---|---|
| Grappler | high-impact launcher use from a planned position rather than mobile close-range fights |
| Partner | Pair it with a mobile SMG or pistol for close pressure and a rifle for regular medium-range targets. |
| Third slot | Add a weapon that covers the remaining close, medium, or long-range gap |
Attachments and upgrade priorities
Open Customization and check which parts are included, owned, purchasable, or locked on the current Grappler. Attachment effects belong to the equipped part and should not be read as base weapon stats.
- Fix the handling, reload, range, or ammunition problem that causes the most mission failures first.
- Test one change at a time against the same target and distance.
- Keep Cash for ammunition and progression instead of upgrading every unused slot.
